In the history of the Estense Prize there are imprinted not only the names of the winning journalists, but also those who made it possible.
We are talking about Giorgio Piacentini, Cavaliere del Lavoro and president of the 1965 Union of Industrialists of Ferrara.
The Prize was born precisely out of his will, out of a desire to give life to something that could manifest the interest of the city’s entrepreneurs in art and culture: an opportunity for different realities to meet that has accompanied the history of Confindustria Emilia Area Centro since 1965.
“It is meant to be on the part of us industrialists as a modest, but meaningful, tribute to the great world of journalism that so honors Italian culture.”
